Interface log
Some installations have interfaces that bring data from other systems into TrakIT, for example from a port, terminal or shipping line system. The interface matches what it receives to work orders and writes it into their events and data fields. The Interface Log page lists each value received and what TrakIT did with it.
To open it, select Admin > Logs > Interface Log. The page heading is Interface Data Log. Only system administrators can open it.
If your installation has no such interface, the list is empty and shows No entries.
What the log tells you
Section titled “What the log tells you”Use the log to answer questions such as “why did this container’s ETA not change?”:
- whether the other system sent anything for a container, job or work order, and when;
- the value it sent, and the name it gave it;
- which work order, and which event or data field, the value was matched to;
- whether TrakIT saved the value, and if not, why: for example, the work order doesn’t have that field (No Data Found), an event time was in the future (Future Time/Date), or the data was too old.
