GetAsset

Returns one asset, such as a truck, a trailer or a piece of equipment, with its details, its links to other assets and its asset fields. Use it to copy an asset into your own system, for example each asset that GetAssetsUpdated lists as changed.

Parameter	Required	Meaning
`ID`	Yes	The asset’s ID, a whole number: the ID column of Asset Management.

Without ID the request does not reach the endpoint, and TrakIT answers with HTTP status 404 (see Errors).

Rules

Rule	`Info` when it fails
The `Token` header holds a valid token.	`Token missing in header`, `Token invalid or expired`, or another answer listed in Login token
The user is a system administrator with API access.	`API User must be SysAdmin with API Access`
An asset has that ID.	`No such ID: ...`, with `Code` -1

Response

On success, RetInfo is the asset. Times are in UTC, without a time zone (see Dates and times).

Field	Meaning
`AssetID`	The asset’s ID.
`AssetName`, `AssetSerial`	Name and Serial.
`TypeID`, `TypeName`	The asset type: its ID and name. Use `TypeID` with `GetAssetsUpdated`.
`CatID`, `CatName`	Category: its ID and name.
`Status`	The asset’s status, as a number: `0` In Service, `1` In Storage, `2` Under Repair, `3` Awaiting Disposal, `4` Retired, `5` Sold, `6` Written Off, `7` Lost, `8` Stolen.
`Active`	`true` when the status is In Service or In Storage.
`OwnerID`, `EntName`	Owned By: the owner entity’s ID and name. `0` and `null` for a self-owned asset.
`Value`	Asset Value, or `null`.
`Remarks`	Remarks.
`Resp`, `RespName`	Responsible: the user ID and the user’s name, or `null`.
`OfficeID`, `OfficeName`	Company, the asset’s primary company: its ID and name.
`SecOffID`	The IDs of the other companies that share the asset, separated by commas, or `null`.
`AcqDate`, `InSvcDate`	Acquired and In Service, or `null`.
`RetDate`, `RetRemarks`	For an asset that has left the fleet: the date and the Retirement Remarks, or `null`. See Retire an asset.
`LinkedTo`, `LinkedName`, `LinkedTypeName`	The asset this one is linked to: its ID, name and type. `0`, `null` and `null` when it is not linked.
`LinkTime`	When the asset was linked, or `null`.
`SubCount`, `LinkedAsset`	How many assets are linked to this one, and those assets as type and name, separated by commas, or `null`.
`HasGPS`	`true` when assets of this type have GPS.
`GPSVendorCode`, `GPSVendorName`	GPS Vendor: its code and name, or `null`.
`UserLoc`, `ULocFullName`	User Position Source: the user ID and the user’s name, or `null`.
`GetAddr`	`1` when TrakIT looks up an address for the positions of this type’s assets, otherwise `null`.
`YardMove`	`true` when assets of this type can be used in yard moves.
`Added`, `AddedBy`, `AddedByName`	When the asset was added, and the user ID and name of the user who added it.
`Updated`, `UpdatedBy`, `UpdatedByName`	When the asset’s details were last changed, and the user ID and name of the user who changed them. `0001-01-01T00:00:00`, `null` and `null` if the asset has not been changed since it was added.
`CountryName`	Not used: always `null`.
`AssetData`	The asset’s asset fields that have a value, in the order of the fields. Only active fields are included, and only those for all companies or for the asset’s primary company. An empty list if none.

Each entry of AssetData:

Field	Meaning
`FieldName`, `Code`	The asset field’s name and code.
`Value`	The value, as text.
`Remarks`	The remarks, or `null`.
`DataType`	The field’s data type, as a number: `0` Number, `2` Text, `5` Date, `7` Hyperlink, `8` Google Place, `9` Phone, `11` Entity.
`Updated`	When the value was last saved.
`UserID`	The user ID of the user who saved it, or `null` for a computed field.
