Container master
The Container Master page lists every container TrakIT knows, with its type code, length and default grade, whether it is in a yard and what its last move was. Select a container to see its yard moves. From here you can correct a container’s type code, set its default grade and block it.
To open it, select Yards > Container Master. Other yard pages open it on one container: for example, the container number in Container details on the yard inventory.
You cannot add containers on this page. TrakIT adds a container the first time it is entered: when a work order is created with its number and type, when it is added during a gate-in or rail move in the Device app, when an import of yard moves or yard positions brings it in, or, on some installations, when an interface sends it.
Find a container
Section titled “Find a container”- Select Filters to open the filter panel, if it is closed.
- Enter or select the filters you need.
- Select Search.
Reset clears the filters. TrakIT remembers your filters, except Blocked, for the next time you open the page.
| Filter | Finds |
|---|---|
| Container Number | Any part of the container number. |
| Type | The exact type code, for example 22G1. |
| ISO Standard | ISO Only or Non-ISO Only: whether the number was a valid ISO container number when TrakIT added it, as shown by the tick in the Number column. |
| Verified | Verified Only or Unverified Only: whether the type code has been verified. |
| Default Grade | Grade A, Grade B or Grade C. |
| In Yard | Only the containers that are in a yard. |
| Blocked | Only the blocked containers. |
When another page opens this one on a container, Container Number holds that number. Reset clears it.

It shows the 20 most recent moves: to see all of them, select its Export.

Block a container
Section titled “Block a container”Enter the reason in Block Container, for example Damaged, awaiting survey, and select
Save. While a container is blocked:
- it is shown in red in the list, and found with the Blocked filter;
- the Device app does not let you choose it for a gate-in, a gate-out, a rail move or a cargo operation: it says The selected container is blocked: followed by your reason.
To unblock the container, clear Block Container and select Save.
Export
Section titled “Export”- Export above the list downloads the containers that match the filters, on all pages, as an Excel file: ID, Number, ISO?, Type Code, Verified, Length and the date of the Last Move.
