Search name/code
The Search Name/Code page finds every place in your installation’s set-up where a word, a code or a piece of text is used: in reports, event and data definitions, workflow actions, validations, forms, message templates, integrations and saved filters. Use it before you rename or remove a data field, an event or a code, to see what refers to it.
To open it, select Admin > SysAdmin Pages > Search Name/Code. Only system administrators can open it.
Search
Section titled “Search”- Type the text in the search box, up to 100 characters, for example a data field’s code or part of an expression.
- Press Enter.
TrakIT says Matches Found: with the number of matches, or No matches found. The text is
matched anywhere in the item, in upper or lower case alike. Characters such as %, _ and [ are
searched for as they are, not as wildcards.
Above the results, the page shows how many it found. Each row is one match:
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Source | The kind of item the text was found in, for example Query Report or Data Action. See below. |
| Name | The item, or the workflow it belongs to. |
| Sub | More about where it is: for example the event or data field, the filter or column title, or the user. |
| Match | The text around the match, shortened to one line. |
The rows are sorted by Source, then Name. Select a row to open the page where the item is set up, in a new tab.
