Report heatmap

The Report Heatmap page shows when scheduled reports are due: how many are sent at each hour of each day of the week. Use it to see where schedules bunch up, and move some reports to quieter hours so that they are generated faster. To change a report’s schedule, see Add a subscription and its schedule.

To open it, select Admin > SysAdmin Pages > Report Heatmap. The page heading is Report Schedule Heat Map. Only system administrators can open it.

The table has one row per day, from Monday to Sunday, and one column per hour, from 0 to 23, in UTC. The last column, Total, adds up the day.

Each cell is the number of scheduled report runs due on that day at that hour. The more runs, the redder the cell. A report scheduled at several hours, or on several days, counts once in each of them.

The page counts the active schedules of:

Inactive subscriptions, and reports with no days chosen, are not counted. Nor are reports scheduled on days of the month rather than days of the week.

The hours are in UTC, the same as the send times of reports. To change when a report is sent, change its schedule on the report itself.

Only system administrators can use this page. It checks that you are one, rather than a permission in your roles: other users who open it see Authorization Failed.
