Report queue
The Report Queue page lists the reports TrakIT has queued for sending, with what happened to each. Use it to check that a report went out, to see why one failed, and to find reports that take long to generate.
To open it, select Reports > Queue.
How the queue works
Section titled “How the queue works”Every report send goes through the queue:
- scheduled sends of workflow report subscriptions, advanced report subscriptions and query reports, which TrakIT adds to the queue when they are due;
- reports someone sends with Send Now, for example on a query report;
- reports fetched through the TrakIT API, with
QueryReportorAdvReport, which are listed for the record.
Every minute, TrakIT takes the waiting reports, oldest first, generates each one and sends it. If sending fails, TrakIT tries again straight away, up to 5 attempts in all. Some failures stop it at once, and the item is marked as skipped: for example No recipients to send to, or a report that is no longer active. For when reports are queued and why one is not sent, see What happens at the scheduled hour.
Queue items older than about six months are deleted.

Skip or re-queue an item
Section titled “Skip or re-queue an item”System administrators see an icon at the end of each item that is not sent yet and has had fewer than 5 attempts:
- Skip Report (the minus icon) stops TrakIT from sending it.
- Re-Queue Report (the arrows icon), on a skipped item, puts it back in the queue.
Export the queue
Section titled “Export the queue”Select Export to download the items that match the filters as an Excel file, up to the first 1,000. It has the same columns as the list, with Report Source for the report type and Delivery Mode for the delivery. With no matches, TrakIT says Nothing to export! Please check filters….
Long-running reports
Section titled “Long-running reports”Every Sunday, system administrators receive a Long Running Reports email listing the reports of the past week that took more than a minute to generate, so their filters can be narrowed or their fields reduced.
Who can use this page
Section titled “Who can use this page”| Section | Permission | Allows you to |
|---|---|---|
| Report Queue | Read | Open the page and export the queue. |
System administrators see every item. Other users see the items of the workflow reports of their own workflows, and of the advanced and query reports they own or were given user access to; the export holds the same items.
Only system administrators can skip and re-queue items. The same permission opens the Subscription summary page.
