Broadcast messages

The Broadcast Messages page lists the broadcast messages of your companies: emails sent, or being prepared, for a large group of people at once, such as all your customers in a country, the users with certain roles, or a list of addresses. From here you open a message and create a new one.

To open it, select System > Broadcast Messages.

Each message is written, previewed and sent on the Broadcast message page, which opens when you select a message in the list or create one.

  1. Select Filters to open the filter panel, if it is closed.
  2. Enter the filters you need.
  3. Select Search.
Filter Finds
Title Any part of the subject.
Content Any part of the message.
Created By Any part of the full name shown in the Created By column.

A filter in use is highlighted. Reset clears the filters.

The heading shows how many messages match, for example Messages - 42. The list shows 20 messages per page, newest first. Select a row to open the message.

You see the messages for the companies you have access to. A system administrator sees all of them.

Column Shows
Title The subject. MM (Mail Merge) marks a message sent, or to be sent, as one personalized email per recipient. See Personalise.

  2. In Create New Message, type the Message Subject, up to 100 characters.
  3. Select Create.

TrakIT creates a draft for your own company and opens it on the Broadcast message page. There you choose the recipients, write the message, add attachments and send it. You can still change the subject there.

The subject cannot contain HTML tags (Title has possible html tag).

System administrators can also start a new draft from a message already sent, by cloning it: see Broadcast message.

Your role needs these permissions in the BroadCast Messages section:
